When Dinner/Lunch Has Ended
When the person enjoys the meals there are a few ways to tell the chef or host know.
The first way is the server comes and asks the guest how the food is, if the food was good the guest should say, "Oishii desu.". This means, "It's delicious."
The second way or the other phrase the person would say at end of the meals is "Gochisosama deshita." This mean giving thanks to them for the meal in a polite way.
If You Don’t Want To Eat Something
When the person in Japan do not want to eat the food or they do not like it, the person should tell the other people before ordering the food or change the restaurants or (ryokan). Another way is to leave the food in the dish without eating it.
